Bedding and pointing, commonly known as the re-pointing of a roof, is a crucial aspect of keeping your home watertight.

What is bedding and pointing?
The bedding is the first layer or foundation used to hold down the ridge cappings and gable tiles. If the existing bedding is in a good strong condition then it may be a better option to just re-point, every roof is different and the best decision can be made upon inspection.
The second and final layer is called flexible pointing. The flexible pointing is applied over the bedding. As the name states, it's flexible which means there will be no cracking due to the harsh Australian elements. Flexible pointing can be chosen in any colour to match your roof and it gives the whole roof a great looking facelift when applied correctly.

It is important to always remember if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! There are many companies out there that won't re-bed a roof when required to do so. This will lead to problems in the not-too-distant future. We will always be transparent with the client from the moment we inspect the roof as to what exactly is required.
